I really hope they don't close our Blockbuster. I really like physically going to the store to pick out a movie sometimes. One thing interesting that I had heard is from someone at Advanced Auto Parts. They said that they were told an Auto Zone store was going to be coming to Duluth, just a few doors down (closer to the lake) on the same side of the street.

Was in Target today and saw a sign, an amazing sign. Starbucks coming soon! I think this will be great. Do you think Pizza Hut will go?

I would think that the Auto Zone store would go where the old Photo One store was. That space has been vacant for months, and is now pending. The building that is next to the site that housed Pooch Paradise recently became vacant too. Would not surprise me if both buildings were torn down and an Auto Zone was built. Maybe even a strip center with Auto Zone as the end cap.

Finally! They were suppose to add the Starbucks last year when they were remodeling. I know I will use it almost everything I go to Target

I noticed that the building uphill from the Taco Johns on Central Entrance had a sold sign on it, so maybe that would be where the Auto Zone is going. Well at least on the site.

I was at Target today and asked one of their employees where the new Starbuck's will be going. They said that the Pizza Hut will close on Monday or Tuesday and then that entire area along with the second exit area will be completed torn out and rebuilt to include both a Starbucks and a Pizza Hut. If you have been to theTarget in Virginia and noticed how their Pizza Hut and Starbucks is set up, that is exactly how it will be in Duluth.

That will be great to have both of those places in Target! I wonder how long it will take?

I am from the Suburbs of the Twin Cities now living here again. I did live in Duluth for 2 years prior to moving back and one thing I cannot fathom, that would never ever fly here in the burbs is the Central Entrance Cooridor.

Coming from the bottom of the hill, it's a poorly designed road for traffic with no turn lanes. No median. Horrible signage. Horrible appearance and upkeep of buildings and their properties.

People from Duluth always said ""Up by the mall is the most like Suburbs" and I never understood that. It's nothing like a suburb. Suburbs are new, clean, neat, well kept. There was nothing similar to that "up on the hill"

Clean your city up Duluth.

here in the burbs if a business owner had an ugly property they'd get so much flack from other business owners, city officials and residents that they'd be strong-armed into fixing up their building.

Like, what's up with that Dog pet store deal that's in a former Hardees building next to Copastetic or whatever? And speaking of them, I dont think their grass was mowed once last year. And their smoknig lounge is in the front of the building facing the main road -

Cool bar man! A former fast food building as a bar with your smoking patio out front and uncut grass! Sure, I will not spend my money there.

Video Vision on Woodland told me they will be closing April 30. I think (not positive) the other store will remain open. Too bad for the Woodland neighborhood...good location....tough business to be in these days.

Video Vision has tanning beds, too. I wonder where all the teenies will get their tannies?
