Hoping the 425 office building gets the go, 10 million in public funds requested. It already has 70 million secured and 500+ jobs. I think the St Paul baseball park is a sure thing 27 million and our office building should be second on that list. They would have 10.5 million left out of the $47.5 million for other state projects.

On Superior street where the organ/piano repair shop used to be there is now a neat looking antique store, also on Superior Street a few blocks west where the old Charter used to be is a glass blowing studio where it looks like walkins are welcome to come inside to observe/participate.

On the upper side of Grand at around 42-43rd street where the pink painted restaurant used to be has now it appears to have been painted better colors, grounds upkeep landscacping accomplished, and appears open for business as I noticed around 20 sitting outside with perhaps beverages, food? Perhaps new owners here however did not notice a name for the building.

One more also on Superior street on the lower side of 1st ave E. where there is renovation being done in the large building (the one directly across the ave from the antique mall next to the lakewalk entrance) and Enbridge is going in there, not sure what else they are doing, or if connected somehow with pipeline from Canada or what.

Wow so it turns out the retailer that was pursuing building a location on Proctor on the site that they would annex was Bass Pro Shop. Too bad they backed out now because it took to long and the townships are still fighting in court. Another HUGE loss for the area. Would have been their first Minnesota location and it would have brought almost 200 jobs. It would have been quite the development for the area. Really makes me upset. They are hoping they can lure them back into the site when everything is sorted out in court being they are still going to annex the land no matter what. Apparently if they don't come back they are going to go after Lowe's or Costco

It is confirmed-Ace Hardware is going in the former Plaza Walgreens space and the Kenwood Walgreens is set to open in the middle of August. It's the most modern Walgreen's I've ever seen! Hopefully Beijing can find a good location so thet CVS can start soon, too.

What is going on with the conversion of the former mall K-Mart to Hobby Lobby? Has construction started yet? Did the flood postpone it? Anyone know what the remaining tenant will be?

The China Station had the BEST MA PO TOFU ever!

They were closed briefly between 2008 and 2009.
