I'm okay with Doughertys closing. A data center fits much better in that building.

Seems to be some remodeling going on in the space where Z's Deli was in the Holiday Center.

The Holiday Center needs a good renovation. It is stuck in the 70's & 80's. The hotel seems to stay updated most of the time but not the retail portion.

I really don't understand why they have not tried to the Holiday Center around and make it into some sort of actual mall. Kind of in the style of Gaviidae Commons down in Minneapolis. I think the downtown could support a few upscale stores in that center with all the business people down there each day. I am not talking a full upscale center, but some larger stores would do some good. I also think the downtown needs a Barnes and Noble of some sort. I think it would do loads of business.

Hey - just wondering if anyone knows why they are clearing the land adjacent to the Residence Inn (the parcel that is for sale). I checked the CMRASELLS.com website but didn't see that there is a sign regarding a sale or anything. They were definitely clearing and moving dirt though so was hoping it was a good sign.
