Nothing on Toys R' Us, BUT I was talking to a friend of mine who works at the Hermantown Menards (but currently works at the West Duluth location) that mentioned plans for Menards to build a restaurant (connected or not connected) with their new store. Also, the new store is supposed to be larger than both the Superior and West Duluth locations.

Wow. I just drove by it and they already were putting up the walls of the new store. I talked to a person who mentioned that with the new Menards Store they were required to build the store with two outlots due to future road construction. I wonder if a restaurant may be a part of one of those outlots? One is suppose to be for the gas station if they want to rebuild being the road construction would cause a frontage road to take the place of the current gas station. I hope they do put a restaurant by Menards, that would be really nice to have up there.

Are you talking about the two smaller spaces? I saw that too! I emailed them about it but they never emailed me back. I really am curious to see who they have been leased to. I hope a restaurant is one, the bigger space of course. The really small space I really dont know what would go in there.

Ok Aluminumpork do you know anything about Texas Roadhouse still? I keep looking on their site and if you email them about a location Duluth is listed as one. Are they still coming? Are they going to start construction soon?

Everything is supposedly still on schedule and going fine. But you won't see any movement until next year.

When you say next year... is that Quarter 1 or Summer or Fall or Spring? Is Culvers still going up there too.

Yes, as far as I know Culvers is still too. I'm not close enough to the project to be able to tell you which quarter.

On another note, I was recently up at the mall area (don't get up there too often anymore) and noticed MnDOT has already paved the section of road between Well Fargo and Super One. Boy, that was fast! They're wasting no time.

Menards also is working at incredible speed, they already have the new walls up! This is all news to me.

I agree with you!!! When I went past that section of road by Super One I couldnt believe it that they already had paved the curbs and were getting ready to pay the road that quickly! I hope they repave mall drive up to atleast the stop lights, that portion is very bad.

Ill email Tom Goldsmith on Culvers.

St Cloud has two Culvers. But I thought they were locally owned franchises. Are you telling me this Goldsmith guy is going to give out that type of information?
