Being a white male I am probably not qualified to comment on how minorities are treated because I don't experience it. That being said I know someone here with a mixed race marriage who left because of the treatment they received. That's not to say they're aren't wonderful people here but what Rob said is right. Superior is a small town and Provencial. For that matter, Duluth is much more like a small town than a city. Also Duluth is very pleased with itself and not accepting of criticism or change so I don't hold out much hope that these things will change.

There are a ton of college students here, and they have a life. A lot of college students do come here. Some may not have a job at first, but many do get employment, and not all work at fast food.

This area appeals to a large number of people, for the obvious reasons. Duluth is a very popular city.

I have lived in Northern Minnesota my whole life. I have seen 52 Northern Minnesota winters, and loved them all. Duluth is a fantastic city, in my view it is the best place to live.

Why bother to take the time to post insults toward where other people live and love?
