HP said Friday that it ousted Hurd after its investigation of a sexual harassment complaint found he had falsified expense reports and other documents to conceal a relationship with a contractor. Hurd also allegedly helped the woman get paid for work she didn't do.

Those CEO's..they get paid when they are good and get paid when they are bad.
They get paid when the company does well and get paid when the company tanks.
They have the ultimate win/win job, don't they ?

Why do ceos/excutives do this?

because they are running the corporation in their own best interest NOT in the best interest of the shareholders.

If you don't like it, sell your HP stock and get rid of any other stock you own.

Besides 28 million isn't that much money anyways. Tiger woods made over a billion playing golf and many other athletes/movie stars pull in multiple million dollar contracts every year!
