We get it.

Plus, they are all coming from the same people. Jimhcom and Tightwad are responsible for fully 35% of all threads just on this first page alone.

No, it's good for us as a country. Irrational fear and hypervigilance keeps the real thing from creeping in unnoticed and actually happening.

Most of the posters who believe US-IS-COMING-TO-AN-END dominate the Self Sufficency Forum.

I wonder why a forum isn't specifically for UFO believers?

You should have seen them when gas was $4 a gallon...we had sooooo many posters with apocalyptic visions and predictions of $6, $9 and higher gas.

It also helps us sell ammunition and other survival gear at inflated prices....like the great ammunition panic of 2007-8. LMAO.

Probably the same guys that made a fortune building bomb shelters during the late 60's.

Yes, I probably read that a thousand times on here from the same people mostly.

I remember in a gas thread earlier this year, my prediction was for $1.75 gas by the end of the year, while others were IRC going on about $6-$8 a gallon.

We'll see who is closer.

The market always corrects itself. We have natural gas out the wazoo. In Australia you can get natural gas at any major servo and many have converted their cars over to run on the cheaper gas. If gas prices got so crazy high, I'm sure many people here in the USA could just convert over to run on gas.

I think all these apocalyptic visions rely on the belief that as Americans we are just a bunch of hopeless people, but as history has shown, we are very resourceful.

This is interesting... In all the time I have participated in this forum, I have never suggested that anyone of a opposing viewpoint not present their point of view. I may not agree with what some people say on the forum but I always respect a person’s right to express it. After all that is what this country is all about. Freedom.
I must admit, and will no doubt be accused of being a tin foil hat for saying so, but it makes me really wonder what the agenda is of people who would stifle the right of others to speak or present their views. They clearly do not subscribe to the principals of the Constitution, or the principals and foundations of the United States and what it stands for, so what exactly do they believe, and what is their agenda?
