think about all those billions china puts back into dollars by buying our treasuries. that money that just came back to dollars isnt reflected in those trade deficit numbers either.
Ahh.. Treasuries are not a product, or an asset for that matter. They are a debt, one we have to pay interest on. For the most part we do not even get anything beneficial from what is purchased with the loan. The money is just wasted, or given out in entitlements, and we still owe the debt. So the end result is we purchase goods, and the money turns into debt on our books, and then we wonder what happened to our prosperity.
