I found it interesting that ebay now wnts to compete with craigslist with their online version of Kijiji. How do you think they will do?:

Right now, Craigslist is the established name for free listings. And that'll last awhile yet. But, in the meantime, Meg will get the name branding in as much as possible, pushing the name Kijiji on Ebay.

Ebay will remain King, tho, no matter how many upstart little auction, coop's (and I've been in on a few of them trying to upset the King), etc sites jump in there trying to usurp or grab a piece of the action - Ebay will remain King. And despite everyone griping about the high fees and preferential treatment, everyone (including myself) will still sell and buy on Ebay.

blessings, Shen

Thumbs up Craigslist VS Ebay

I prefer Craigslist by far. I'm way more comfortable meeting someone close by and being able to actually LOOK at the product before buying it. It's a little difficult to find stuff, especially since posts don't last too long. I found a really cool search engine at CraigSpy - The CraigsList Search Utility that costs $15. Really cool program that updates itself automatically so it shows you when new threads are posted (instead of constantly checking it all day... I've done that a lot. )

I like Craigs List much better. Everything I post on Kijiji gets removed for some reason or another. Then if I try to find an item on there, they never have it.
