Who does not see this? Companies guaranteeing the CEO millions as the company is folding? How does this "Math" work? "Fuzzy Math" To facilitate this, the cost of doing business in the USA is "off-shored", "laid-off" or terminated to "save money" But, the CEO is guaranteed millions as the company loses millions/billions. The US Congress and Houses of Reps and Senators are bought off and paid by these Companies so the "Very Big/Too Big to Fail" money can continue. Our Big Corporations have bought our government and the USA for their profit and profit alone. The CEO's of every Corporation in the USA should be held accountable for the "Rape and downfall of the USA". Of course, the pockets of every one involved in our downfall would be could be affected by jail time, our soon to be socialism may be our only saving hope.

hahah, yes you are right. Much of what you say is spot on. We call it crony capitalism. Usually it grows around big government. The solution to it is limited government, low taxes, low regulation, free markets and freedom. Thats how an economy grows most efficiently.

First off, we must understand that corporate managers and CEOs are running the corporation in their interest. Basically, "how much money can I make for MYSELF?" Most of these managers/ceos don't stick around with the company for a long time, so they are in it for the short term. As a result, they take on massive debt and destroy long term shareholder value in the hopes that their risks will pay off with big profits. They get paid based of of performance. More risk = more potential rewards. If the company fails then its the shareholder who is left holding the bag. IMO, you have to make sure to invest your money wisely. Avoid the fortune 500 if possible. The only companies in the fortune 500 that are well runned are those where the corporate managers are also large shareholders, examples off this are Microsoft, Apple, Google and berkshire Hathaway.

As far as outsourcing goes. Its the new name of the game. Its about the bottom line and maximizing profitability. Not much you can do about it. If you want to make it big in business, you have to outsource.

Socialism has never worked and ultimately leads to lower standards of living. Especially if the socialism is financed through taxation. Socialism only works when it is financed by other means, such as oil or natural resource extraction.

What you are describing is just a symptom of a bigger root cause.
That being the ethics of the entire country has gone down the drain.
I was fortunate enough to be raised in a time when the greatest generation still stood by principals that today do not exist.
Some of the common themes then were that a man was only as good as his word. People shunned charity even if they were poor. A person’s reputation was as important then as a credit record is now. These principals not only made for a moral society but laid the groundwork for a prosperous economy.
Having traveled to first and third world countries both on this continent and Asia the thing that always stands true is that the prosperity of a country is in direct correlation to the honesty of the people.
America has become a country where the ends now justify the means.
The rich steal in broad daylight because they can, and it is tolerated. The politicians lie, cheat, and steal, and we just shrug our shoulders.
The middle and lower class all want entitlements and free everything.
No one wants to work and manual labor is now considered "menial".
I can remember a time when there was no such thing as menial work. There was only work that needed to be done, by someone who was willing to pay to get it done.
All jobs had value and dignity.
It was charity and dishonesty that was shameful.
I do not see how we are going to repair the economy with out first repairing our moral compass.
