here is something that i will pay for when out the road traveling for work or at home if you are a really good cook and will follow my food prep to the letter when asking for food to be made my way that i like it ..

I keep one of the mid sized socalled Engel travel freezer units that can run off 12.volt or 110 volt power in the hotel room and get a local women to make me up meals in the Rubbermaid 1.qt sized sqaured containers unit and put them in the freezer unit for eating after work or before work ..

most of the socalled extend hotel places i stayed at have a small fridge and mircowave in them and call it a kitchen and they charge more for the room that way ..so what i would do when out on the road for a extened time frame was to bring the mid sized travel freezer unit with me to have in the hotel room to store the Rubbermaid containers premade meals in it for eating at a later time and date .

when iam done with them wash them out and give her back the containers once a week meet up and she hands me diff meal plan for the following week in the contianers ready to be mircowaved and eaten along with cash also for buying the food and her payment for services for the work involved at the time..

Why do you think this business should be "for the lady?" Is it 1950? There are plenty of great chefs who are men....

Sorry, I can't help myself...

I'm sure that you could find many caterers who would be quite willing to do this service for you. It would ive them something to do with the left overs.

Um... there's usually a supermarket close by with huge freezers full of microwavable dinners.
Lean Cuisine has about 90 different types. They cost 2 bucks at the local grocery.

Henry1, maybe there is family nearby that can do this for you?
My dad is from Mexico (he is now a US citizen) but in his bachelor days, his sister was a stay at home mom and would extra money by making the bachelor brothers meals for the day. It was quite common in their town to have that arrangement. This was in the 1960s though and the town has changed quite a lot since then so I don't know if anyone does it anymore.

This still happens in our town....only it's the young single Indian engineers in our town who benefit. Apparently there is a loose circle of older/married women who cook for these young guys. Lucky them!

Despite the OPs archaic language, it is kind of a nice business idea. The only problem is that to make it a business one would have to have access to a commercial kitchen...which can be expensive. So, it might work for the right entrepeneur; someone who could grow the business to a certain volume in order to offset the kitchen costs. But, then, is it really "homecooking"?

Probably best to keep these "arrangements" casual.....and keep the health dept. out of it.
