taxes on the fuel used to smelt the metal
Taxes on the tools used to smelt and form the metal
Taxes on the lisensing fees to run the ships made out of the metal
taxes on the things which make up the ship (And along the way of their construction)
Taxes on the fuel the ship uses
Taxes on the maintance of the ship
Taxes on the exploration for oil
Taxes on the materials used in the exploration for oil
Taxes on the materials used to get the oil out of the ground
Taxes used on the materials (And labor) used to hold the oil
Taxes on the men, materials, and land used to make the refineries
Taxes on the running of the refineries.
...And it never ends.
No, rest assured that they pay taxes.
I disremenber the exact numbers, but I have read that the government makes a bigger profit than the oil companies per gal of gas....
To say NOTHING of the fact that they oil companies are doing the work, and taking the risk.
And this can be extended in one form or fashion to any industry.
Taxes? No, lets be grateful they pay as much as they do.
