Interesting comparing wells and production

Below 1935 production with 3 times as many wells.

Oil Production and Well Counts (1935-2009)

So where is this heading?
More drilling if you still want to use oil. Thats how it works. In 1935 there were 1/3 the wells but those wells on average were making 3 1/2 times as much. Thats how all reserves are including coal and natural gas. They run out over time.

I havent seen Solar running oil wells but it might not be a bad idea. Some places are very remote and it could cost thousands of dollars to run electric lines out to the location. Usually they run the motor off natural gas in those cases but solar might be more dependable. Those natural gas motors are a pain in the a$$.

With the power consumption at a drilling site, solar might be able to run the fans in the doghouse.

Yeah solar wouldnt be a possibillity for a drilling sit but i was talking about running a producing well. I think it could handle a couple horse power motor but then again i dont know much about solar pannels.

That might very well be within the realm of possibilities.
