Japan will obviously need to repatriate a sizable amount of foreign investment in order to fund disaster relief.
Will this have any impact on US Treasuries and if so how much?
It seems as if the Fed does nothing it would be looking at higher interest rates, and if they continue to monetize the debt they are devaluing the dollar.

Probably will end up creating higher interest rates. But then again, the FED will buy whatever treasuries Japan sells and just continue to monetize the debt, but sooner than later the curtain will go up and the fat lady will begin to sing.
"The earthquake, tsunami, and nuclear disaster that hit Japan this past week and the destruction that it caused is nothing compared to the tsunami of inflation that will soon hit the U.S. as a result of this crisis. A tsunami of inflation in the U.S. will mean a complete collapse of our monetary system, which could lead to millions of deaths due to a lack of food and heat. 44 million Americans are now dependent on food stamps, but when the U.S. dollar becomes worthless as a result of hyperinflation, the government will no longer have the power to support these Americans and many of them will simply starve to death."
It'll cause inflation. Dump your USD while ya can! The value of the USD has been in decline for the past 50 years but now it is accelerating.
Yeah....dump them in my pocket.
