My guess is ATT will reduce options (like buying minutes) that are less profitable to them. Regarding using SIM cars, once the phone is unlockes, you can use it with a different sim card anyway. If ATT does not unlock it for free, chances are you can get it unlocked for $20-$30 on the internet.

Me too, T-Mobile's prepaid $100 for 1000 minutes that last a year. Comes out to a little over $8/month for a cell phone that usually sits in my glovebox.

with verizon, i have 10 people i can call unlimited. tmobile's plans are slightly cheaper, but their coverage is significantly worse. lol
