In business we call it overhead, and from my perspective all that stuff sure beats the food lines and widespread homeless and practical famine of the (last) Great Depression.

The Economic Recycle Model (Overall Best Value) supports everyone all up and down the path. When you do all the numbers, math, and consider the social costs -- Globalonyism has been a gross failure for most of US. It has only benefited a very narrow band of the top.

So now it is up to us to kill it.

Not possible. BRIC is the driving force and the only way to stop them is war and they aren't going to finance your war against them. Since you can't even cut the budget to balance it, I seriously doubt people would tolerate austerity programs to finance a war.

BRIC is not my enemy, Mircea. That projection is just a product of your linear thinking.

In practice, I support much of how they go about their business on the Macro level, especially compared to US. And in that they tend to undermine US Imperialism, I consider them an ally.

On the micro, or human level, they are pretty much as heinous as US. So no love lost on either side, either way.

The real battle is on inside of the empire, at this point. Money is just another weapon in it.

Anyway, for matters international, the weapons and delivery systems for any "war" that really matters were fully tested and funded years ago. No cash required.
