Did anyone else listen to the thieving j@cka$$ director of the Federal Finance and Housing Authority (FHFA)'s attempt to defend Multi Million Dollar Salaries at Fannie and Freddie last week? Luckily elected representatives gave it to him good! I was proud of those guys for once.

YAY Washington can agree on something! Too bad they're too afraid to go after the bigger thieves on Wall Street.

Who is At Fault for the Ridiculous Payments?
Edward DeMarco, the thief currently acting as president of the FHFA. He was disrespectful and cavalier at the hearing IMO and had the nerve to say that the incompetent jerks hired to run Fannie and Freddie would only stay if they made millions of dollars a year. Raise your hand, CD's if you are a management professional and would work for the paltry sum of $500K a year.

I am no genius, but I think the company may have had even BETTER results w/ a group of execs fresh out of MBA school w/ salaries of $200K per year. For over Twelve MILLION dollars, there would have been tons of qualified employees beating down the door. All you need to know how to do is add and subtract, and you're already light years ahead of some of the "executives" that robbed our country in the past few years.

I think congress should do MORE than cap those jokers' salaries and bonuses. Edward Demarco should be hounded out of Washington...but now he is already a MILLIONAIRE thanks to his own MULTI-Million dollar salary Gracias to the Taxpayers.

The government should also CLAW back the money already paid to those creeps and denounce them in the public square for petty thieves.

Just convert this to property taxes and end this charade of so called private enterprise. Then give us tax relief. Every US mortgage should now be on the public account, not just the junk. They proved they suck at it. No more profit capitalism, loss side socialism.

We would be better off picking people who were summoned for jury duty. How can the 99% vote for any of them?

Sorry, at least the representative from MD gave it to them good. I am really gaining a lot of respect for Elijah Cummings. He was as shocked as any normal person would be at the high salaries. I can't believe his disbelief was feigned. BTW he also did a great job trying to uncover the people behind operation "Fast and Furious" and was key in getting the sanctioned "walking" of guns put to a stop.

Representative Cummings, and a couple of our other reps (I can't remember their names) seemed to be there to fight for their constituents. Granted, I don't believe it is bad if people "lose their homes." I think someone else can buy the home at a lower price, and the current homeowners can rent.

Since when has renting killed anyone? But I digress. I disagree w/ the "bailout" of irresponsible or unqualified borrowers because it artificially increases prices and property taxes...but how DARE the FHFA, Fannie and Freddie pay themselves MILLIONS of dollars for losing BILLIONS? I'm still waiting for the public floggings to start.

well that's good then. I don't know much about Cummings, but he sounds like a good guy, for now at least. I still think it's a show though. Maybe he just needed to get attention so that those guys will donate to his campaign to shut him up. Sorry, i'm cynical about this stuff now. lol
