Am I the only woman who has the hots for Bill Gates. He's smart and rich, and seems to be a wonderful hubby to Melinda.

Apropos of nothing, I read a story on the Daily Mail about how his foundation is donation money to fight AIDS, TB and Malaria. Can he get any more awesome?

Some people think he could have gotten "awesome" years ago when he took a lot of abuse for not doing much for charity.

That's strange. To my knowledge the Gates' Foundation has been active for years.

This is sad. There's always someone looking for a handout.

Quite a few years ago Gates said at that point in his life he was focused on growing Microsoft. He promised that at some point in time he would focus instead on philanthropy. He honored his promise and leads the world with his philanthropy. He's so good at it Warren Buffet is giving him $1B per year of his wealth to distribute.

Watch it that the conspiracy nuts don't show up here...there are people who claim that the vaccine programs run by Gates are really part of a sinister plan to wipe out "undesirables" in impoverished parts of the world. I'm not making this up.

I admire Bill and Melinda Gates and what they do.
