Ths is only partially right really. In fact the candaian compnay has also applied for a pipeline to be built west in Canada to pacific because the Chinese are interested in shiipping it to their country. Also we actually want to become a exporter of crude;fuels ;you name it . But this isn't the only way it will get to Texas as its coming by rail long before the peipeline will be finished. Some predict that with shell oil;the US will again be a net exporter of crude by 2030. That will mean that we a have a much more secure source just as we did during WWII when we fueled the war.Just think of us doing what every president since Carter has promised ;being non-dependent of foreign oil. You might also be interested in the fact that US demand is levling off anf will contimue it in the future. But the big increases in demand that more and more drive the market for crude are the developing countries like China and India. Just as the car market growth is there ;so is most things including energy. I'll be happy when we can profit from that.Otherwsie we contimue moonig over screwdriver jobs making things a chinese peasant can at a cheaper price and continue down the road of becomig less and less competitive in the world economy.
