Ok, no need for statistics, we all know it is a longshot but it is still almost 1/2 billion for a buck!
Cash payout after taxes is well over 200mm in green money. You could make 100 people millionaires and still have 100mm to spend on yourself or buy 20 5mm mansions etc.

Let's hear the insanity!
Shhhhh!!! Don't spread the news lol. At my work everyone chipped in $10, so we have about 400 lottos
You know your life is bad, when buying a lotto ticket is the best thing going for you, for the whole week. I console myself, when seeing the winner, by realizing that money is a curse, and that type of money would bring more trouble than it is worth.
But, nonetheless, I wish it was me. Maybe. Slim to none is better than none at all.
I rarely buy lottery tickets or the alike but a bunch of coworkers are pooling their money to buy something like 500 tickets between appx. 50 of us. In addition to the $10 I spent in the company pool, I also went out and bought 50 tickets for myself.
It's an incredible long shot but if I win...well that'd be nice . $359 million cash option minus taxes...I'd still have right around $200 million. If the company pool wins, I'd still get around $4 million which wouldn't be too bad either!
What would someone really do with an after-tax lump sum of $215 million?!? I guess I wouldn't mind being in the 1% though .
I'm sure I could make good use of the money. Might be fun to buy a few tickets, knowing the great likelyhood is that we won't win a dime!
That's why I only put a few dollars into these monster jackpots. I won $2 on Tuesday's draw so that will go back toward Friday's draw + a dollar or two from my pocket.
