And yes, the general model are electric coils (no contact, all safe) that energize as a vehicle passes over. South Korea already has some functional models in use.
The general modeling seems to be billing the individual car for the energy they consume. I am picturing something like cell phone billing.
Should be about 1/4 of present fuel costs, and the electricity can be generated in US, with any and all expansion being renewables.
Since the .gov owns the roads as part of the commons, the fuel/road taxes can easily be moved over to the energy billing for the vehicles.
