Fifty years ago, almost everything you could buy in Mexico was made in America. As Mexico's industrial capacity developed, more and more products are made now in Mexico, often with American brand names. But obviously, not yet everything.

I buy quite a lot of things in Mexico, ordinary housewares, hardware, etc, and I seldom see things that are made in USA.
