Well looking at entitlements it amounts to about 50% of government spending. In poverty spending it is Bill Clinton who pointed out that 80% of poverty is concentrated in two rural regions of the country ;who get 20% of all spending by government to fight poverty. 80% goes to urban areas with 20% ; thepolitics of pverty. That is part of his presentation to get individuals to donate to his and Bush Sr's foundation.I just kind of think things have gone wrong ;really.I/m just think that we might just need change to satop the deficit which is what will be the terrible future of many if not fixed. Is goig to be fixed by the greek soluiton of politcal pay oiffs for votes and in the end it will the poor who suffer as always.

Then maybe the entire thread belongs somewhere else. What does the word scum have to do with economics? Nothing, absolutely nothing.

I don't know who was talking down the hallway at our aquatics center yesterday; but I overheard a conversation and one person was really going on about who has a million dollars, he certainly does not. I am not totally sure where the conversation went on from there; but I think it was about the present tax situation and he was against rich people.

I found the conversation disturbing in that I feel Americans are being pitted against each other. We all owe a lot of money and only by working together can we get the debt paid. I guess there is nothing like biting the hand that feeds you. If we feel all rich people are rogues and need to be ripped of resources it looks to me like the entire country is going to end up having nothing.
