Many insurers got the approval to raise rates by up to 26% last year. Many are now asking for a 28-30% increase for this year.

And health care was SUPPOSED to be cheaper.. LOL..

NOT

I'm not a fan of Obama, but he didn't raise any taxes. He just let discounts expire.

So now we got less, to pay more, with.

So now, 15 hundred and 12 dollars a year less?

Which has cut into Vacation money. No Vacation this year.
I sympathize. I am skipping my vacation this year, too. For me it was due to a friend I gave money to. He could have been out on the street if I hadn't done it. But I am grateful that I still have some cash savings in the bank as well as a solid retirement plan...As others have said, though, your pension being taxed for SS definitely sounds wrong.

I was given this information by my husband.

So now thanks to you I have questions.

I told my husband about my discussion on here.

And now he says that's what he thought the $38.00 was about!

And he said yesterday he would call about it today to find out for sure.

So-glad I posted it on here. Let you know soon as I find out. Thanks.

The extra 88 dollars a month is the new deal, because we won't have a deductable.
Deductable was $300.00 a year. Which of course was a lot cheaper!

And you think you would be better off under the auspices of Romney/Ryan?

O-KAY, now I got The Truth of the matter! He called.

But, I was first told wrong to begin with!

Only one of his pension checks got the $38.00 taken from it for Health Insurance increase.
And THAT'S ALL Folks!

Geez, everthing else is the same.

Had I not posted this here? And you guys had not questioned It?

I doubt I would know the real deal today!

I've the same problem with him and the check book...

And I've now learned about a $1,100. credit-card bill too!
When I paid all our debt off a few years ago so we could live off his pensions til we got SS too.

Sorry to put you all through this...I've learned my lesson with him again!
Double-check what he says with what he's doing.

I need to stop being lazy, and stop trusting him to make all the money decisions!

Thanks for bearing with me...

So you increased your costs by deciding not to have a deductible?

SS payments were increased for January too; I was starting to think that was the difference that was seen. Glad you sorted it out cause it sure didn't sound right!

In our house it's the man that is clueless and it drives me mad thinking he wouldn't know a thing if something happened to me. What's worse, with electronic billing (aka paperless!) he won't get a bill in the mail for basic utilities either! What have we done? Everyone is not computer literate!

Here's a clue - if he starts blaming it on 'bama and getting you all riled up about that darn socialist communist hindu anarchist - then he's probably hiding something.
