Refund from the IRS? What's that? I never get a refund. I don't like someone else using my money and don't like waiting for "my money".

I always file via snail mail. It took a little over 2 months to get our refund. They were received (I sent registered) on March 20th, and the refund was mailed out on May 26th.

Filed for an extension on April 13th. Still trying to find all the documents (moved in January). I was actually hoping to die before I have to file.

You need to drive over there and get that guy moving. Yes, he had you pay more to cover the anticipated amount, but if you get audited later and they change your return so that you owe money, they will charge you late payment penalty, late filing penalty, and interest. The extension does NOT let you avoid late filing penalties if it turned out you owe instead of getting a refund.

You have a crappy CPA. Now do you know he hasn't pocketed that high estimate he told you to pay?

I never get a 'refund'. The money I owe pays for other people's 'refunds'.

The taxes they overpaid is what pays for other people's refunds.

Mine was filed in March, and then re-filed in April when the electronic was rejected. I still have not received my return, and it's mid-June! Previously, it didn't take more than 2 or 3 weeks to get my refund, but this year's been a different story. If the ongoing IRS investigation is said to be the reason for the delays, then sorry; that is not an excuse for them to hold back. This government and this IRS both absolutely suck.

I filled mine on beginning of March and finally got my refund yesterday. This is the first year I had an issue like this.
