I filed my taxes and it was accepted on February 11th. I was told it would take them about 21 days to get my refund...that shou'd've been March 4th at the latest. I check the status every morning, and it's still showing as "Return Received" - but it has not been "Approved" yet. I really don't have the time to call them and be on hold for an hour, so I am checking here to see if others are having the same issue.
Refund from the IRS? What's that? I never get a refund. I don't like someone else using my money and don't like waiting for "my money".
Im still waiting for our CPA to file it!! He had us do estimated payment that was pretty high and expecting some back. So frustrating.. he isnt returning my emails.
I always file via snail mail. It took a little over 2 months to get our refund. They were received (I sent registered) on March 20th, and the refund was mailed out on May 26th.

You need to drive over there and get that guy moving. Yes, he had you pay more to cover the anticipated amount, but if you get audited later and they change your return so that you owe money, they will charge you late payment penalty, late filing penalty, and interest. The extension does NOT let you avoid late filing penalties if it turned out you owe instead of getting a refund.
You have a crappy CPA. Now do you know he hasn't pocketed that high estimate he told you to pay?
In the past, I've always received my refund in 1 week - 2 weeks top. I've never waited this long. I just don't know if others are waiting over 21 days - or is something holding mines up...
Mine was filed in March, and then re-filed in April when the electronic was rejected. I still have not received my return, and it's mid-June! Previously, it didn't take more than 2 or 3 weeks to get my refund, but this year's been a different story. If the ongoing IRS investigation is said to be the reason for the delays, then sorry; that is not an excuse for them to hold back. This government and this IRS both absolutely suck.
I filled mine on beginning of March and finally got my refund yesterday. This is the first year I had an issue like this.
