Still mad at Wall St, financially illiterate homeowners, realtors, mortgage brokers & bankers, ratings agencies, the Fed & Federal government?
And there's a considerable sublist for each of these, the complete question would be much longer.

I was trying to be concise, I acknowledged the complete list is "much longer."
I'd have taken the time to develop it further, but I'm under no illusion that anyone would change their mind anyhow. I can count on one hand the number of times people have changed their minds on forums, or even admitted they were "mistaken" even when they've been proven wrong...

It can happen but usually before people become invested in their opinions. I did change significantly from once being what one would call a right wing conservative, but after too much exposure to classical economic theory, I could hold onto those mythologies no longer.
here is my take: i could not care less about politics or economic theory. i watch the big picture and like nudging a big ship i steer myself into fitting in and doing what i have to to adapt survive and maybe profit. .

And that statement is telling about you and a lack of agreement on the part of others is telling on them.
like i say , i devote my time and efforts to those things i can control .
And you are willing to take control of them. That is the important part. Ok the Fed is doing this and doing that so what are you ( not you, rhetorical question) going to do to benefit yourself in that environment. I am hoping New Markets is about to start to move up. Doesn't surprise me Blue Chip Growth and Growth Company are no longer the charmed funds of it all.
Tech has been stalling and both funds are pretty tech heavy.
Yup and that in itself may be marking a changing of the guard. From growth funds to value funds. Interesting they are now recommending Mid Cap Value so I shall.

Placing the blame on everybody means we are not placing blame on anybody.
Come on, you guys are intelligent people, but you insist on throwing up your hands and taking the lazy way out. Rather than identify a solution, you prefer the easy answer that requires no thought: "everyone is at fault"
Let's approach it this way: in society, which primary groups have the power and responsibility to make sure things like this don't happen?
here is my take: i could not care less about politics or economic theory.
Then why are you so adamant to place the blame on the consumer, not Wall Street or the Government?
