Who would have thought? This is another example of the semantics being played on the homeowner.

Homeowner goes to "bank", and they do a credit check. It is, well....checking to see if homeowner has available credit.

But why? if the homeowner is receiving something valueble from the "bank"?

Ummm...ok...there is a little more to it....

Burtons legal Thesaurus:
*Credit Check-> a coupon.

*Coupon-> a detachable part of a certificate.

*Certificate ?

When you *purchase* a house, it is purchased with credit obtained from a certificate.

Any financial experts who would like to share what this certificate is, credit in the form of a coupon detaches from?

More giggles....
