Pretty neat. Some things to think about though...

What happens when they deflate, pop, or disappear? Whose responsibility would it be to tend to them?

Asian culture is quite a bit more respectful than ours IMO. I can see whole parking lots of these things sabotaged by kids. HS graduation pranks featuring these things dangling on school roofs around the country. Every kid will have to have at least one floating in their room.

At any rate, we don't have that kind of crowding problem in most parts of the U.S. thankfully.

yeah, I thought of all those things too. They would be too tempting as souvenirs. Seems to me most US malls have too much parking, until the horror that is Black Friday!

The price of helium is so expensive right now and helium is in a shortage, so I don't see how this would be feasible on a large scale. A better solution would be development of a recognition system and an in-car app that can communicate with vehicles to find open spaces.

Their thinking is different-dramatically opposite to Americans. In US, the effort is how to spend more gasoline, encourage people to take more debt and buy more cars with poor mileage.

I think people here are more concerned with safety even driving thru many areas now days. I can't imagine people in cities who won't look eye to eye actually doing this.

It's a cool idea. I also would not be surprised about the idea of people taking the balloons.

I think the problem is in the U.S and other countries , we don't really take actions until we FEEL there is a problem.

In American we don't FEEL an oil crisis, so we don't take actions towards really doing anything about it.

I know that people don't seem to be driving around in SUVs as much, but that's more because gas is a lot more now than when the SUVs first became popular.

I don't think people usually get Priuses or other electric cars to "help the environment" it's because they think they will save money or because it's a trendy thing to have nowadays.
