What are you even talking about? Climb off that soap box for a moment and actually read what I posted in context. Never said "living off" or anything like that. I was talking about not buying products from companies that sell in the US without a significant US presence. So no, not dramatic, merely a consumer choice to support US firms.

But, if your looking for drama, look no further than the parts in red:

Many people are aloof -- we have a constitutional crisis as they original intent of life liberty and pursuit of happiness is being reverted back to what framers tried to run away from big and powerful Govt that, that is inherently oppressive.

Ironical liberals have little to no historical perspective, and are very naïve and quite ignorant. They see a little problem and say "give me some more Govt" see another one and say "give me a little more Govt here too." Maybe no single act of the Govt can establish a tyrany (although some argue that it does) but all little law have created in this country a system of oppresion that is exactly what framers tried to avoid.

And no 1789 is not that long ago, considering that tyrannical Govt liberals love started about 4000 B.C.

BTW, there are plenty of laws that exist beyond the constitution. They are neither incongruent nor invalid. Things the framers never anticipated we would face in the 21st century. Some laws simply exist in addition to the constitution. Try trotting out the constitution in traffic court some time and see what that gets you. LOL

My neighbor and I stopped ar McDonald's today for a drink- a place neither of us choose to frequent very often...
Needless to say when we went to fill the cups that they handed to us, the iced tea was empty....there was NO salt in the salt pack bin. The place was filthy ....spilled red soda, other sticky drinks at the drink area. Trash all over. Dirty tables. I did not EVEN THINK ABOUT USING THE RESTROOM IF THE FOOD SERVICE AREA WAS LIKE THIS !!
And you think you need a raise!?! Get real!
McDonalds is for high school students. For college students while they attend college, with random class hours.
McDonald's is NOT for a college graduate! You get more money after you go to college. Not when you work at McD's!
You can't even keep the place clean for Pete's sake! Quit yer bitchin and go to school (college). THEN go get a real job.
(A friend who owned a franchise showed me a stack of applications that he had-the people couldn't even fill out an application correctly! ) Could not spell either . He did not hire any of them. They weren't even worth $7.25 !

What's really annoying about this debate is having people complain about idiots who can't even get their drive thru order right demanding $15, while assuming there are lot's of geniuses willing to make their burgers for $7 out there somewhere. I've seen similar things at my place of work. The chaos and amount of time and money spent to do things multiple times before getting it right while totally piiiiiising off the customer base in the process...vs hiring some talented people for more money who would actually stay, provide stability, and get it right the first time while making customers happy. Remember when employees were a companies most important resource? I do. I think it was in the 80's.
if they can't get people to work for 7 dollars an hour they will have to pay more
if they can't turn a profit when they pay people more they will go out of business, but they still won't give a crap about your time

i expect bad service in fast food places.almost no fast food worker is worth 15 dollars an hour.if they were and you could get away with paying them 7 bucks an hour everyone would be out there buying mcdonalds franchises and living on easy street.
