This is quite a new trend, a second topic in this forum on how the rich are losing ground? Am I supposed to feel sorry that the obscene profits in the oil industry are not being sustained?

Oil companies are just enterprises looking for a reasonable profit in a very tough business... although they do a huge volume making profit dollars look very big, the margin is about average for an industrial company. If you want to look at outrageous profit margins look at financial, insurance, and software companies.
