9. Ample opportunity for local partnerships. The Iraqi economy boasts a number of established companies, state-owned-enterprises and service providers
10. Abundant and untapped natural resources. With proven reserves estimated at 115 billion barrels, Iraq’s undiscovered oil reserve is considered to have the second largest reserve in the world.

Yeah, I could see dropping a few $million into Iraq. Those Tomahawk cruise missiles are pretty expensive, eh?

If you have paramilitary skills, I think you can make it work.

But yeh for the average the person this is not an opportunity. Yet, I can see some rich guy, or his kid who needs to make a name for himself going there and trying.

Afterall, it is better to be king in hell, than a slave in heaven right. Actually isnt GW that kid?

1. Very tenuous government in place, trying to govern an extremely politically and religiously divided population, while situated in an extremely volatile region.

There might be some good business opportunities for a private "security force". But that wouldn't actually be investing in Iraq.

It's also possible that all that money is already corralled by the existing "Black" named companies. Lot of money getting paid there but it might already be allocated. It would take some mighty good contacts in the right places.
