We're not drifting into oligarchy. We already have one. The issue I take with pieces like this is it puts it all the blame on business/conservatives and always try to hold up government as some kind of savior.
Reality check: Both the government & big business are so utterly corrupt you can't tell the difference between the two. They areboth just vehicles used by the oligarchy to maintain power and control.
But its still the by far leading economy in the world. Larger than China ;UK and Germany combined. Bill Moyers made his money making such documentaries so its a political opinion biased by it.if you look at any thing there are always those who make most of anything and dominate therefore. called leaders.
