Reading through this thread has been pretty entertaining. However, OP, if you insist on trying to duck your responsibilities, you just might get arrested. The police will take your mug shot and fingerprint you. Then you might have to wait in little room with bars on it until they can find someone who actually has brains to figure out how long to keep you there.

And you pay them...person cashes in the check ...that constitutes payment

After that contractually the payee has no right to file claims that the amount owed wasn't paid, right? The payee can decide not to do further business with the other party, but amount owed was paid even if not actually received, correct me if I'm wrong

If you work a job and your boss gives you a check at the end of the week and the check bounces, would YOU have been paid?
Rule could be interpreted as no you wouldn't owe me $100 but I have the right not to do any more business with you in the future

this poster sounds suspiciously like a teenager who was banned because of being underage and making inappropriate posts. You know... they get banned and then come back with new name. There ought to be a way to find these people and well...he has same interests and style of writing and this guy joined just about a month or so after the kid was banned. just saying. if he's not the same he definitely sounds like a teenager with limited if any experience with personal finance.
