I was told by a real estate agent that people like me who have decent jobs yet rent inexpensive apartments dont pay our 'fair share' in taxes and this was her argument for having a state income tax in South Dakota.... what she failed to realize is whether Id even be willing to live in Brookings , SD which is a flat, cold, rather dull place to live, if I had to pay state income tax.... well no I probably would not....
