Whenever a new Chick-Fil-A opens, they offer free food for the first 100 customers (It's actually vouchers for one meal per week for 52 weeks). I just saw in Pasadena, Calif., so many tents and carts in front of the one they just opened. I wonder if it's mostly desperately poor people trying to survive, or just people who like Chick-Fil-A.
People will go to the extreme for free/cheap stuff. We see people camp overnight in front of stores for Black Friday. When Cold Stone was giving out free ice cream, I saw people wait two hours for a cone that cost a couple bucks.
It's probably people who really like Chick F-A and just have time to kill.

Sad times. Reminds me of history lessons and the Russian bread lines during WWII. I sure do hope that the people who get that food are needy and not just fast food addicts.

We live in frugal times.
I could not stand to eat there that often and I think the last time I got something from there it was at a Mall that I had to be at for something specific and all I got was the fries and an unsweet tea.

Not even comparable; the breadlines were due to the physical lack of food available. The US is not even close to being short on food.
People who aren't bargain hunters camp overnight for days waiting for an iPhone. I think that is far dumber than waiting for free food.
