That is what I saw. on new bigger vehicle mostly trucks and SUVs and on gasoline. The site I saw say people are driving more which accounts for some of the gas besides larger more powerful vehicle. Seems not many really want to drive a compact if they don't have to.

Bought a car that gets 36MPG just 2 weeks before the gas price plunge. Saw gas prices as low as $1.79 in my area. At first I had begun to regret my decision in a more fuel efficient car and had wished I had opted for a more powerful or sporty car, but then I thought of how much more money I'm still saving over those people and that EVENTUALLY the higher gas prices we are accustomed to will return. Cars have to get leaner with smaller and more efficient engines, this is the way of the future and I know this now.

Maybe one day I'll buy an electric or hybrid, but for now mid 30's on the highway is just fine with me, bring on the $3 a gallon gas, won't hurt my pocketbook much.

Have a 35 MPG car, but commute by bike.

I'm cool with $10 / gallon gas.

That's nice. I'd rather not drive a 33 year old car.

I live in Utah. very little rust. And 50 mpg on the highway and 35 around town. And I paid $500 for it.
