The system hurts more than helps
what system? And how? I don't feel hurt by any system...
you mean the system where I can get a good job because I made plans for what to do post college and didn't take on unnecessary debt? Or the system that got me scholarships/grants so I didn't need any school loans because I also worked to get them? I know, you don't like the system where you feel you aren't paid what you want? I'm happy with my pay grade. All the "upset" reasons seem to come from people not taking responsibility for their actions while accumulating debt. They didn't plan the kind of jobs they wanted, how the degree figured into it, nor how much the job actually paid. Then they don't like companies because they have to start at the bottom instead of coming in at the top? Because why? They have a piece of paper? Are they upset because their parents used to tell them they are "stars"? There isn't just a single star, and they can't "outshine" everyone?

Actually I should have said, "Luce was conservative, and he reported the news accurately." "although" is almost exactly the opposite of what i meant.

Well except when he has his reporters working for the CIA.

Actually they weren't all conformist. The "beat generation" was anything but. BTW I include the late Richard Brautigan among them. They scorned the steady jobs available and the conformist lifestyle. Granted, they are outliers.
