@eyeb... that's too late now, banks are closed for business for a week. Greeks cannot access their bank accounts at all.

In the interim it's all on a cash basis I assume. I know that if I were a business given the circumstances I would not be accepting anyone's check LOL!

Hm ATMS are out of money... would businesses still operate for a week? Sure they need to get rid of inventory that expires but if it is all cash, it makes for easy theft. They can't even deposit it to keep it safe. They can't get larger bills or change either.

Wonder if Italy will that refuge Greeks

This is why you shouldn't elect Leftists to any position of authority in the government.

The only answer for Greece is to repudiate the debt and move to the Drachma.

Out of the EU, back to own currency, w/o any additional lenders.

They brought their ugly future upon themselves.

since no one has asked... if the euro collapses, does that mean the immigrants will ease off and EU won't have to deal with them? I mean, aside from Italy... but they can kick Italy out too since there would be a blueprint for it then

how is anyone to going figure out who owns what if they were priced in the euro and the euro goes away?

I don't understand how a Greek withdrawal from the Euro currency could possibly cause the Euro to "collapse". Greece is one of the smaller countries which use the Euro.
