Zero Hedge is republishes articles that come from many sources.

The actual information that is published is accurate.

The opinions represent a point of view about the ultimate outcome of super excessive debt spending. The kind that the Central Banks are not only encouraging but are forcing. Never ended well in the past so I don't think it will end differently this time.

Economic reality. When you drink a bit of alcohol you feel good. when you drink more beyond a point you don't feel better you feel worse. Alcohol is like debt too much and you have one really bad hangover. We've got too much debt. And we have one really bad debt hangover to deal with.

Many of their republished articles come from "mainstream" sources as well, so it is not like they are just pulling stuff out of thin air.

Yes and now it's going beyond that.

Working in retail was horrible. Terrible pay, customers were garbage and management didn't even want to be there

Looking at the below graph, notice the carnage in retail sales? Neither do I.
