Interesting. Its the Russians I know that are obsessed with having flashy cars and clothing. Its the middle easterners I know that are obsessed with wearing gold. Its the Asians I know who are obsessed with technology and investing. Please tell me again how Americans are so obsessed with money?

Yes a funny thread started by a person named "Dinero" who seems totally obsessed with American's obsession with money. Thanks for the chuckle.

Do you live in the US or spend much time here? Or did you get this impression from TV?

I don't doubt that there are a lot of people who resemble your description, and I know there is a lot of propaganda steering that mindset. But there are plenty of people who don't buy into it as well.

This really doesn't seem at all accurate to me.

Go to the big cities in Asia and tell me Americans are materialistic with a straight face. I've never seen anything quite like it.

Americans might have a larger obession of money and Europeans maybe less. This might be based on a high level taxation/pension difference. If I can retire earlier in life and have a larger guaranteed income while paying a relatively high tax rate I might have less concern with money as well.

And you Denario are the same guy that "wishes he'd been born in the USA" AND "In this society, you can't do anything without money".

I work with a guy from Columbia.. He works here to pay off his home and he plans to return. His family is in Columbia, but he is here to make money fast. He misses Columbia..

Why are you here? Education? The "American Dream?" I think you should stop projection on the USA and their society.. Start reflection on yourself. Greatness comes from within, not projection out. American girls are very superficial for sure... Maybe you would prefer another country.. Ive lived in America and Australia, Australia was much nicer..

Best of luck

Yeah Yeah Hilarious!!

I'm American just like you and Donald Trump.

I have an American passport, social security number, driver license, concealed carry license, voter registration card. I work hard and pay my taxes each year. I go to an American University. I purchase American products, thus stimulating the economy. I follow the rules and law. I never had a single ticket violation or misdemeanor. My record is spotless. I speak English and practice American customs. I actually feel like we need someone like Trump. I'm against illegal immigration and immigrants not bothering to learn English.

For all intents and purposes, I'm your regular boy next door, except that I have an accent, and cannot run for president.
