perfectly stated.. they fell for the donkey/carrot stick routine.

I don't need luxury cars, i love trucks

But i'd prefer a vibrant economy

So much wealth concentrated that's not good for us.

Goal of current Elite policy is to slaughter consumtion and that comes with reducing middle class buying potential. Middle class showed 30% increase in income over the last years but that's because women went to work.
So it all goes according to the plan, boys and girls.

Middle class is angry because they listen to the politicians who railed against the top 1% and voted them in. In reality these politicians didn't do anything to help the economy once elected. No jobs growth, no income growth. They got duped and got angry.

I don't think it is a issue in San Fran. And if the rental market won't bear covering all cost then people won't invest in real estate.

I've heard that colleges are "guaranteeing" that people will get jobs after graduation. That should have been the first hint. Nothing is a guarantee.

That's like saying that if landlords always profit, then no one* would ever lend money for a mortgage - because they would do better to buy the property themselves!

*includes institutions

Yep, "get the rich". It's simple folks. The rich don't depend on "income" (they are already rich) so higher income taxes don't hurt them.

You (people who supported Obama in raising taxes) want to a higher income, yet you fight for higher taxes on income, ... All you've done is ensure that if you do make more money, you've made it harder for yourselves. Instead of getting to keep that money to spend and save, you voted to send more of that money to the government.

It matters how much you get to keep.

You are ignoring the fact that that tax money goes right back into the economy...contributing to the salaries of government workers, both direct and contract. Some win, some lose. High taxes is NOT a lose-lose.

You know you floated this idea for a while but the ranking of a college doesn't mean anything. The WhatsApp guy went to SJU, it's considered 3rd tier. People will rack up loan to go to expensive school because they think 3rd tier will not get them job.
