You come across these doom and gloom people every year who always have some ridiculous predictions about how the next depression is going to occur this year, that the Dow will crash to 1,000 in six months or something along those lines.

The predictions almost never come true yet the same people come predicting the same things year after year. It's almost like these people want bad things to happen. Like they're excited for it.

usually they are the ones who always see the dark side and never act on investing or they got left behind in the job market . so they do not want to feel it is them that have created their own financial failure .

if everything collapses then no one is ahead - they like that

the reality is most do not . they are nervous nellie's by nature . it is their nervousness that keeps them out when markets are making new highs . then it takes nerves of steel when things are plunging and their visions are coming true to them .

most folks do not posses both quality's . i will bet none of our doom and gloomer's bought a thing last friday , although they may try to tell you they did

Perhaps they are people that got burned in 2008. Or maybe they can see that the economy is somewhat rigged in favor of the affluent.
