I never knew it that divorce would affect a credit score automatically

It did mine. Mine jumped up by 100 points because HIS debts (grudgingly and naively co-signed by me) were paid off by MY settlement money I threw at him to make him go away. May he choke on it.

The level of Control of information about citizens in USA is somehow an injury to real freedom.

In México when there is a divorce, there has to be a reserach about the Debts and obligations of the divorcing ones, so there is an agreement on the material goods and debts. Divorce is not only horrible by heart matters, but also a very expensive process.
This entire post is wacky.

The police do not have everyone's fingerprints.

Ok, stay married if you're looking for some non-factual rationalization 2 years after the fact.

My credit history was not linked to my spouses.

Opened and maintained my own credit history. Luckily we married in a Non communal state so when we split, it was done fairly and accurately. There was zero impact in my credit score.

OP needs to learn credit reporting 101 and Fico scoring.

My score dropped slightly after my divorce, but that was because I had to refinance my house to get him off the mortgage. It dipped maybe 10 points. No big deal.

How could your credit score drop 800 POINTS! No way since I believe 800-900 is a perfect credit score. Don't listen to people who don't know what they are talking about.
