The "Buy American" provision was a critical component of the US defense strategy, since you need steel to build weapons. If there is a disruption in international trade, a domestic steel industry is vital to our survival as a nation. The Republicans decided not.

Of course the reasons that that particular provision was removed are not discussed, because a worthwhile discussion would reveal the truth. Daily Kos, being a liberal news source, doesn't do that.

The steel industry wants to be singled out and declared a winner by tipping the tables in their favor. Horsepooky. They will have to compete and Trump will have to impose tariffs if necessary. They are not going to be treated like an endangered species.

Daily Kos.... The world is ending, the world is ending.

What do these liberal writers do? Stay awake at night thinking up new ways they can hammer Trump LOL.

Take a breather OP. You won't get the truth from Daily Kos

Just the opposite is happening. The steel industry believes due to the changes in attitude towards business due to Trump becoming president the good times will roll for American Steel Companies. Just after you post that the steel industry is going to go to H*** in a hand basket as they say, instead announce that due to fact Trump is the next president they plan on adding 10,000 new jobs due to the changes in attitude towards business.

The liberal attitude towards business, is what has held big business down just marking time in this country. It has hurt jobs in this country. So the crazy liberal articles like the one you posted are making some big mistakes about the future of this country. Business is for the first time in 8 years, is planning on expanding in the U.S. and plans to hire a lot of new employees.

It's as if liberals don't want companies to expand in the U.S. and employ more people. Here ya go OP.... "United States Steel would like to accelerate its investments and hire back laid-off employees now that Donald Trump will be occupying the Oval Office", CEO Mario Longhi told CNBC on Wednesday.

US Steel wants to accelerate investments, bring back jobs, CEO says

Geez, liberals heads will be spinning of their shoulders trying to figure out how to trash this.

Robber baronism is not an effective economic policy. Those who are going to the ball in glass slippers need fear the stroke of midnight.
