How is the IRS the criminals? They didn't write the statutes or sign them into law. Without Congress and the President the IRS would have nothing to enforce.

How would you propose the nation pay for law enforcement, defense, etc. etc. etc.?

I haven't ever reported anyone, but I've never had first hand knowledge of anything completely egregious, either. I don't care, and I doubt the IRS would either, that the teenager down the street earned just over the minimum reporting requirement last year with babysitting and lawn-mowing gigs.

Somebody did report a distant relative of mine for operating a cash business beauty salon out of her basement, a few years ago. She was pulling in some nice $$, apparently.
