A tyrannical govt is never going to come out and announce itself to be tyrannical, it will always try to disguise tyranny as something that appears to be beneficial to the people, or somehow needed to keep everyone safe and secure, this is the trick we are all conditioned to accept from birth. Its why the people have not risen up and shut this kind of stuff down...heck, most dont even recognize there IS a problem to begin with! LOL

This also goes on in the non-profit world. They have "prospect researchers" who collect financial and personal data on potential big donors. They subscribe to data agencies who provide them with information (and educated guesses).

I wrote my Representative and asked that he write and pass a law...that all businesses must reveal and contact me with the information they have on file on ME. It can be made to be an annual requirement.

Worse than the credit unions are places like Costco, Safeway, Amazon, Google, that track your purchase history and sell that data. You can be denied insurance, etc. based on purchase history and never be told the reason.

What I don't understand is IF somebody steals my data from a third party why is it up to me to fix the problem. Shouldn't they compensate me for the time and trouble??
