Haven't listened to the Beatles since the early 70's or Prince since the 90's. The Beatles especially are utterly irrelevant today. No biggie for me.

I have songs on Youtube, they do pay. Its not just songs they pay for but things like dr pimple pooper, which is why the people watching stuff like makes them money.

1 million hits is $1500.00, this might be nego. People who aren't getting paid are the writers of the songs or the publishing companies. They get screwed over often. We have someone who keeps an eye on you tube, Itunes, etc and are paid a percentage of what we make.

Suspect the internet companies are big cheaters overall. Along with I heart radio, who I thing is the worst, someone someday will haul their a$$ in court.

Probably the same reason why you can go online and watch major movies for free, that have just come out and still at the first run theaters...its all about supply and demand.
