Is this a scam? Missing money (sell, property, checks, how to)

It shows I have several claims for over and under $100 but it doesn’t really give you too much info on how to claim it? I don’t want to give any personal information if it’s not legit. If it is, and the money is under my maiden name, can I still get it?

Check your state Treasurer’s unclaimed property web site (they all have them) and look for anything that might be yours. Also check states where you used to live or go to school.

You can do this on your own and not pay anyone a fee.

I have got money back from Colorado & California. You can claim under any name etc that you can prove is yours.

( A bit of fun, lookup names of friends and relatives, amazing to me what some of them are leaving "on the table")

Loosing money is easier to achieve than you think. If you move and don't close a savings account. If you sell a house and have funds due you because of the need to hold back to pay for a water bill or over funded escrow, etc, those funds are turned over to the state if the checks are not timely cashed.
