In my opinion, the single greatest threat to our ecomony is what we've promised to spend on social programs (social security, medicare, medicaid, etc). The gov't has tried to be everything to everybody, and we can't afford it without taxing ourselves a much higher rate.

If we cut out the entire "Global War on Terror" we'd about break even this year, but we still wouldn't be running a surplus.

If we want to cut taxes, we NEED to cut services at an equal or higher rate.

I think both defensive and offensive military capabilities are needed. If China or Russian developed their military force, we need another country that can counter their power. What I don’t understand is that why we (taxpayers) are contributing to all those men that have many wives and rapes under age girls. I hear on the radio the reason they survived financially is to get welfare for these “so called” single moms with a lot of kids. Crazy!!!
