There must be something about the economy liking impeachment proceedings. I remember in 1998-99 the same thing happened.
that may have had something to do with Clinton and House Republicans working together. Congress will never work together again. The focus now has become removing the leader of the Party in charge. That will happen no matter which Party is in charge in the future. Perpetual impeachment inquiries.

Well if they spend all their time removing each other they can't do much else. Maybe that's what the economy likes.

Agree..... the democrats - should they win in 2020 - are in for a world of payback.
I was in the officer's club at Lakehurst in 1963 or 64 and several people began to cheer. I asked what happened and the Dow Jones had just closed at 1,000 points for the first time.

As I recall, a 1963 dollar had a purchasing power not that far from 28 current dollars. I bought a new '64 Volvo for $2,100.

As though Republicans are some kind of amateur at this game, not to mention that the chief protagonist in Obama's birther nightmare is now crying the blues over what he supposes is treason. This seems to be the permanent state of American politics. Makes ya proud, huh..

I for one am fed up with this republican vs democrat nonsense. I'm an independent, and the republicans have almost as much responsibility as the democrats do, for where this country is.
An outsider was voted into office and he's been combatted by both sides of the establishment since the day he won.
In 1963 you could buy a Ford F11 pickup for $1,995. A radio was extra.
